We are just mothers on maternity leave who started helping orphaned children in hospitals and orphanages. For some of us maternity leave has already finished but charity work remains and has become an integral part of our lives.

We cannot be indifferent to the fate of children who were left without their parents’ care and who live in the state orphanages of our city. The younger the child, the more defenseless he or she is, and so we pay more attention to children aged from 0 to 4 y. o. We want to change the lifestyles of these children and enable all children to have their own family.

For this reason we:

• give assistance in improving the quality of life of the children living in hospitals and orphanages
• give assistance in creating favorable opinion to adoption issues
• provide our proposals to authorities regarding changing/improving the systems of organizing children’s’ lifestyle and we participate in the realization of such schemes
• prepare and distribute good quality information about orphaned children
• help to protect children’s rights
• provide information support to potential parents regarding the adoption process

«Petersburg’s Parents» is a social group and any person responsive to orphans’ problems is welcome to join it.

The Regional Social Group "Petersburg's Parents" continues to expand. It unites active people who feel civic responsibility for orphans' fortunes and want to change the existing situation for the better.

Our Group is active in the following areas:

Project «Otkazniki» (denied children)

 This project's is aimed at providing material assistance to orphans in need. Within the framework of the project we provide material assistance to the orphans (such as clothes, toys, books, development games, sports equipment, medicines, medical help and equipments, diapers etc.)

Project «Children are waiting»
Adoption portal sirota-lo.ru is aimed at support for potential parents to find their future adopted children and to provide support for orphan children to find their family quicker. Our professional photographers and interviewers regularly visit orphanages and prepare information about children for our portal. We often update pictures and publish detailed narratives.

Project «Nurses care»
The project's aim is to provide orphaned children in hospitals with qualified personal as they commonly experience lack of nursing care.

Project «Painters for orphan children»
We want our children to have a colorful childhood! Painters-volunteers decorate the bare walls of orphanages and hospitals with colorful pictures enable children to enjoy the company of their favorite cartoon characters.

Project «Voluntary service»
Main areas of the project are the following: volunteers to orphan homes, volunteers to nurseries, volunteers to hospitals.

Project «Social Adaptation»
The aim of the project is to provide children from orphan homes with the necessary knowledge and skills to help make them employable and have responsible life. It is organized through personal meetings, consulting and training.

Project «Festivals for orphan homes»
The project is aimed at the organization of festivals in the orphanages and hospitals of St. Petersburg city and its region.

Aid Program to disabled children
This program is aimed at supporting disabled children with necessary clothes, medicine, toys and books; organization of necessary advanced medical aid: advisory, surgical services, material assistance (such as orthopedic footwear, glasses, hearing aids etc); and the search for families ready to accept a disabled orphan child.
