Thanks to efforts of the manager of the project “Nurses Care” Sveta Piorova it is successfully developing: six permanent nursing posts have been founded in four municipal hospitals. Nurses care for ill denied children, wash them, change their clothes, console them, carry in arms. Within the framework of the project ten nurses work permanently, helping children in a difficult period of illness. At present there is a need in new nursing posts and we invite new sponsors in purpose to organize them. To support the project and help children you can transfer means to our account (in this case you will need to fill blank of bank receipt, that you find bellow) or conclude the sponsor contract (for legal entities). Большое спасибо Александру Варнавскому и Андрею Котову за финансовую помощь проекту! Movement «Petersburg’s parents» began with material support of denied children in hospitals of St.-Petersburg. But diapers, means of hygiene and the clothes are only a minimum of that we can help. Having provided hospitals with diapers, we faced with a banal problem – there was nobody to change these diapers ... There was nobody to look after children. There was nobody to lift the toy that had fallen to a floor, to console, to feed in time... The hospital personnel are not indifferent to children. But they have to implement great volume of their direct duties and it doesn't give a possibility to provide qualitative and timely care to denied children, who are so being needed in warm-heartedness and concern. Sure, it is impossible to replace mother’s care, but it is quite possible to ease children’s lives. That’s why project «Nurses care» was started. Since May 2008 six permanent nursing posts have been founded in four municipal hospitals (St. Olga Municipal children's hospital № 4, Municipal children's infectious diseases hospital № 3, Filatov’s Municipal children's hospital № 5, Pediatric Academy) where ten nurses are currently work. The nurses mainly work in hospital departments of infectious diseases, caring the denied children with congenital illnesses that complicate clinical course of infectious disease. Complexity of children’s diseases doesn’t allow involving our volunteers to this work. As a rule these children spend most part of their lives in hospital, and they as no one else are needed in care and support. Special for them «Petersburg’s parents» created program «Nurses care». Within the framework of the project we select trained personnel who have admission to work with seriously ill children. We appreciate each our nurse and we thank them for selfless work. Day by day they deal with children deprived of parental attention, helping them in a difficult period of illness. They watch a condition of children, a clinical course, timely carry out nursing according to specific features of each child, diagnoses and recommendations of the hospital doctor, and also give psychological and emotional support to children. Moreover, our nurses operatively give the information about needs of children being on treatment to "Petersburg parents” so all of us could timely help to denied children.
How you can help: 1. You can provide material assistance. Remuneration of nurses’ labour is realized by the help of private philanthropists therefore quantity of the organized nurses posts directly depends on quantity of the collected means. 2. You can personally participate in the project. We are always needed in personnel for work on the nursing posts. This work is permanent and paid.
